Small Groups

There are currently three small groups that have been created by members of Christ Community Church.

These groups decide together what they are going to do together -- they may decide to do Bible studies or work through Christian books, others may want to discuss the Sermon and Text from the previous Sunday to gain a better understanding, while another group might work through a video series. Their topics are always those that are in alignment with the values established within our faith.

A great part of the Small Group experience is the opportunity to develop relationships with others in our church family. Nearly all of the groups have some sort of fellowship opportunity, and some even integrate a service component.

Check out what the current groups have to offer, and if any of them will meet your needs, please plan a visit. Attending a Small Group doesn't obligate you to stay with that group. You are welcome to try all of them to see which one fits best. Or, you might be the adventurous kind that would like to start your own group. That's great, too! If you are interested in doing that, please set a time to meet with Pastor Dave to discuss your ideas so you can get started!

The activities and meetings of our Small Groups have been temporarily suspended due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

"Christensen Group"

Don't let the name fool you! This group has been dubbed the "Christensen Group" because they meet weekly in the home of Carl and Dorene Christensen at 215 Hilldrop in Caldwell, and have been doing so for several years.

They meet every Sunday evening at 7:00 P.M. and focus on various Bible studies. On the first Sunday of each month, they meet at Cascade Care Center where they participate in activities with the seniors living there. This is not only great for those residents, but a great opportunity for the members of this group to "give back."

If you would like more information about this group, please call Dorene Christensen or the church office (at 208-453-1819).

Sunday Evening Group

A second group meets in the homes of its members on Sunday evenings beginning at 6:30 P.M. for a light meal, fellowship and study time. They generally discuss sermon questions to gain a more thorough understanding of that day's sermon.

Please contact Nancy Orrison or the church office (at 28-453-1819) for more information.

Wednesday Evening Group

Our third group also meets in the homes of its members, but on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. Everyone is invited! Following light refreshments and fellowship, the group has been watching and discussing the video series, "Drive Through History - Acts to Revelation" with discussion following.

This group has chosen to volunteer its services at the LOVECaldwell Neighborhood Soup Suppers that are held on the fourth Wednesday of every month (their normal meeting night).

If you would like more information about this group, please call Pete Hoover or the church office (at 208-453-1819) for more information.
